Algaraza is committed to defending human rights and promoting restorative justice by providing strategic advocacy and support to individuals in conflict with the criminal law, both inside and outside of prison in the state of Morelos. We aim to strengthen the path towards social and restorative justice. Our objectives include:

– Promoting the mental and physical health of a diverse range of women and LGBTTTIQ+ individuals who are deprived of their liberty.

– Building partnerships and alliances to sustain mechanisms for the restoration of rights and to reduce the risk of reoffending.

– Driving a movement that advocates for the shift from punitive justice to restorative justice from a gender perspective.

– Promoting strategies for security, justice, and peace in the realm of social reintegration with a gender perspective from an intersectional approach.
