The Network of Organizations for the Defense of Indigenous Women’s Human Rights and Gender Equity (RODMI) in Cuetzalan is dedicated to empowering women and youth by fostering personal and collective healing. It focuses on combating macho and racist violence through raising awareness about human rights and promoting the defense of indigenous territories. The organization integrates cultural practices such as music, dance, and spirituality as part of its approach to resistance and empowerment.

RODMI’s mission includes coordinating efforts to promote indigenous women’s rights and gender equity, addressing violence, and advocating for systemic change within the municipality. It also works to strengthen women’s organizations by encouraging the exchange of knowledge and experiences to build capacity within these groups.

In collaboration with the FON Project, RODMI aims to ensure the enforcement of laws that protect indigenous women, particularly those guaranteeing a life free from violence. It seeks to sensitize local authorities on gender and intercultural issues while enhancing its own governance, advocacy, and communication capacities to better serve the community.
