Action et Humanisme is an organization created in 2013 by vulnerable people, mostly people with disabilities, and women. Its primary objective is to contribute to improving the quality of life of vulnerable people by ensuring their social well-being and financial independence. This involves the implementation of social policies and the fight against discrimination and violence of which these minorities are victims on a daily basis—which prevents them from expressing themselves, gaining self-esteem and taking part in decision-making about the life of their communities. Since its creation, the organization has been working to achieve these objectives through advocacy, awareness-raising, capacity building, resource mobilization and the implementation of income-generating activities to enable them to take care of themselves and their poor families.
