At CEA Justicia Social, we conduct evidence-based research, advocacy, and strategic support for individuals and communities affected by the abuse of the criminal justice system in Mexico, from a feminist, anti-punitive, and trans-inclusive perspective. Our goal is to enable communities affected by criminal justice system abuses, especially women and gender-diverse individuals, to inhabit inclusive and peaceful spaces in Mexico as a fundamental condition for the restoration of rights and social justice from a gender perspective.

Through the FON Project, we aim to promote a Feminist Network for access to justice and the prevention and reduction of gender-based violence among organizations. These organizations, with their diverse approaches, methodologies, and areas of expertise, strive to democratize knowledge and create feminist legal alternatives to reduce gender-based violence in Mexico’s criminal justice system. The network will help identify and highlight the needs and demands for access to justice for women in contact with the justice system, ensuring that these considerations are central to preventing, addressing, and reducing gender-based violence in Mexico.
