Diversity and Solidarity Trust (DAST) is an LGBT and community-led organization in Sri Lanka focused on promoting human rights, gender equity, and sustainable HIV and SRHR responses. DAST supports marginalized groups, including LGBTIQ individuals, people affected by HIV or TB, sex workers, and young people, through capacity building, advocacy, and community engagement. As part of the Care Consortium, DAST empowers LGBTIQ and sex worker leaders to advocate for justice, improve access to services, and engage with government bodies. The Red Umbrella Network project specifically addresses gender-based violence within sex worker communities by promoting leadership and advocating for their rights, fostering a safer, more inclusive society.
