Feminists in Kenya (FIK) is a black feminist and queer-led movement rooted in community, resistance, and joy. The organization seeks to challenge structural violence, build transformative alternatives, and affirm the dignity, agency, and power of women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ people across Kenya and beyond.

Rooted in feminist theory and shaped by lived experiences, the organization’s strategies and activities are inspired by Audre Lorde’s wisdom, emphasising the importance of transforming silence into language and language into meaningful action.

FIK feminist mandate is to sustain collective voice, power, and momentum with the mission dismantling the structural silences endured by marginalized communities, transforming these silences into simplified language and adopting this language into transformative feminist action.
