Founded in 1996 by Wadja Egnakou Matthieu, winner of the Goldman Prize in 1992, SOS-Forêts is an organization committed to the preservation of biodiversity in Côte d’Ivoire. Located at the National Floristic Center of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, we benefit from an environment conducive to our activities and work closely with renowned experts in the field of floristics.

Our mission is to combat all forms of biodiversity degradation to promote rational management of natural resources and contribute to the sustainable development of Côte d’Ivoire.

We are committed to the sustainable management of biodiversity and water resources, combating climate change, rehabilitating degraded ecosystems, as well as promoting environmental education and the empowerment of local communities.
