Reports

After several months of intense work, we are delighted to present the results of the study that the FON Project conducted in 10 countries. The FON project is supported by the Agence francaise de développement (AFD) and the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs and is implemented by a consortium of 5 international organisations: Médecins du Monde France (MdM-FR), International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH), EmpowHer, Creating Resources for Empowerment in Action (CREA) and the International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region (IPPF – ARO), lead of the consortium.

The main objectives of this study were:

  • Improve our knowledge of the feminist civil society organisations (CSOs) and networks that fight against GBV, their specificities, needs, challenges and demands, as well as their allies and opponents.
  • Improve our knowledge of the context in which these organisations work, including factors that are barriers or opportunities to their work.

The report presents the GBV context in each country and regionally. It also presents the trends of the capacities and challenges that these feminist CSOs face at international level in their fight against GBV per country, regionally as well as globally.
